~a love note from your Inner Wisdom

Dear One,
I am writing to remind you of things you already know. When your inner child is craving approval, security, or a sense of control, it is up to your adult self to reassure them.
Your inner child is the part of you that is still seeking the consolation and protection of a loving parent. When this vulnerable aspect of yourself shows up wanting someone or something in the environment to make them feel safe, it can feel very distressing when the environment doesn’t have that to offer.
Whether you have been adequately equipped in childhood or not, what is required as an adult is for you to draw upon your internal resources — to tell yourself the words you want to hear, set appropriate boundaries, address your immediate needs, and enlist your strengths. Consoling your inner child and showing up as a confident adult takes practice, so offer yourself grace in the process.
Remember, this moment is an opportunity to connect to Love and so to live into the fullness of who you are.
As always, do what best awakens you to Love, Your Inner Wisdom
