Dear One (Part II)
I am writing to remind you of things you already know. Once you have examined your motives, don’t second guess yourself. You can trust your intuition, and if you are being honest with yourself, you know what you want.
The excuses you make not to follow your heart are based on an outside-in mentality that provokes fear. You may worry about if you will make enough money, if you are being selfish, if you are doing the “right” thing, if others will disapprove of you, if you are following the purpose for which your life was intended, if what you want to do is practical and realistic, if others would be hurt or envious, or if following your heart would produce more stress than you currently have.
Going from the inside-out means gathering information and then feeling into the choices before you. Imagine in great detail what it would be like if you followed your heart. Feel what it would feel like if you made that decision. Then imagine not following your heart—remaining with the status quo or making a “practical” choice. Feel what it would feel like if you made that decision.
Within you lie the answers that you seek. Do not let fear paralyze you. You can trust your heart. Ask and you shall receive. When you follow your heart, you feel connected and alive, and all the people in your life benefit from your joy. When you role model following your heart, it gives other people hope and inspiration (and perhaps permission) to follow theirs. Then you are a light for the world.
Remember, this moment is an opportunity to connect to Love and so to live into the fullness of who you are.
As always, do what best awakens you to Love,
