Dear One

Dear One,

I am writing to remind you of things you already know. There are times when you will feel so weary that you just want to roll over and stay in bed. It is as if you want to shout, "Leave me alone! Let me off of this train! Go away!" There are many reasons why you may feel overwhelmed. Sometimes circumstances arise that require your sustained stamina. At other times, the choices you make can sabotage your life of balance.

When you feel overwhelmed by the demands of your life as it is, remember to take one day at a time. Life is much easier to handle in little chunks. You don't have to do it all right now.

Before you go to sleep at night, imagine what a nurturing day of balance would look like for you. If you were to organize a perfect day, within the existing parameters of your everyday life, what elements would that day have?

What would be a meaningful and encouraging way to start your day? What inspirational reminders can you set up for yourself to keep your mind on positive things throughout the day? What preparation do you need to do, perhaps the day before or during the prior weekend, to make sure you have healthy food to eat? How can you carve out time to go for a walk or move your body in a restorative way? A five-minute walk in the fresh air or ten minutes of stretching can provided a needed reset. What would be a relaxing way to end your day? Maybe you haven’t been sleeping well and just need a good night’s rest. And perhaps there are habits that are not serving you from which you need to disengage.

You cannot always control the circumstances of your life, but you can choose how you respond, one choice at a time. Each day is a gift, and you will not feel weary forever.

Instead of trying to “get past” segments of your life, set an intention to enjoy each moment. Take a deep breath. Relax. Smile. Get out of your head. Don’t take yourself too seriously. Find a reason to laugh.

Remember, this moment is an opportunity to connect to Love and so to live into the fullness of who you are.

As always, do what best awakens you to Love,

Your Inner Wisdom
