Dear One

Dear One,

I am writing to remind you of things you already know. Sometimes you will feel lost and confused. It’s part of the human experience. It doesn’t mean anything. It is just for a season.

When you feel like you are alone in the wilderness, chances are you are being assaulted by the voice of the Inner Critic. This voice challenges what you know to be true and throws you off balance. This voice questions your motives and calls you selfish. It does not have your best interest at heart. It seeks to disempower you by making you doubt yourself.

At these times, it is very helpful to enter into a dialogue with the Inner Critic. Carve out some time to be alone and journal. Connect to the Love within you by setting an intention and creating a nurturing, inviting space. Know that Love is always with you—when you enter the wilderness of confusion, while you are feeling lost, and when you finally emerge with renewed conviction.

Write down the accusations that the Inner Critic is making. This will help you to see clearly with what you are dealing. Then write a positive answer to each claim—what the Love within you would say in response.

Remember, this moment is an opportunity to connect to Love and so to live into the fullness of who you are.

As always, do what best awakens you to Love,

Your Inner Wisdom
