Weathering the Storms of Life

I am writing to remind you of things you already know. When times get rough, don’t give up! Stay the course. You’ve got this! Remember that in the sea of life, you will encounter storms. Challenging conditions are a given.
In stormy weather, you need to rely on your resources. The boat, which is your body, mind, and spirit vehicle, must be maintained to weather the storm. This means that even though you are in rough waters, you must make taking care of the boat your top priority by continuing to exercise, eat healthy foods, meditate, pray, create, and have fun!
When the storms of life arise, you may be tempted to abandon ship. This happens when you get distracted by the pounding waves. Instead, do not focus on the swells, but keep your eyes on your resources. This is how you will stay afloat. Don’t worry about how long the storm will last or what the waves will be like tomorrow. Take one moment at a time, and do what it requires. If you are tired, rest. If you are feeling lonely, reach out to others. If you are feeling sad and defeated, connect to your Source. In a little while the storm will pass, and you will enjoy smooth sailing again.
Remember, this moment is an opportunity to connect to Love and so to live into the fullness of who you are.
