Change The Channel

a love note from your Inner Wisdom
I am writing to remind you of things you already know. Your only job today is to stay connected to the Love within you. When you are connected to Love, you act skillfully. When you are attached to your egoic pride, insecurity, anxiety, and fear, you can't help but act unskillfully.
Your ego-cherishing thoughts kidnap you from Love. When you notice that you are creating a story in your mind that you are a victim and someone else is a persecutor (the "what ifs" and "s/he done me wrongs"), PAUSE. Take a deep breath. Release the commentary with your exhale. Re-connect to the Love within you.
To do this, you must change the thought channel. Switch from the “They done me wrong” or “What if” channel to a channel that reminds you of the Love within you. This can be a music channel, where you start singing a happy song. This could be a gratitude channel, where you begin mentally acknowledging the things for which you are grateful. This may be a prayer channel, where you start reciting inspirational prayers, mantras, or poems. This can also be a body channel, where you get out of your head and begin noticing what you are doing — the smells, sights, and sensations in your environment.
Remember, this moment is an opportunity to connect to Love, and therefore, to live into the fullness of who you are.
