~a love note from your Inner Wisdom
I am writing to remind you of things you already know. When you are emotionally suffering, name it. Besides the torrent of grief, some common causes of heartfelt misery are the craving for control, validation, or security or the aversion to something, someone, or a situation. Know that unless you are being abused or neglected, it is your own experience of this moment that is making you uncomfortable.
One way to transform your suffering is to expand your perspective. There are millions of other people who are feeling craving or aversion just like you are now. Meet yourself with compassion, and then send out benevolent wishes to all beings who are also experiencing the pain of grief, craving, or aversion. Shifting your focus will help to loosen the grip of what is binding you and to bring you into solidarity with all beings. Opening your heart facilitates your ability to relax into the present moment.
Remember, this moment is an opportunity to connect to Love, and therefore, to live into the fullness of who you are.
