Poems From The Porch

Lavender cloud in the powder blue sky
A cool breeze kissing my face
Wisps of incense floating by
Clouds, breeze, and smoke are insubstantial like thoughts.
Don’t get confused.
You are not your thoughts.
You are the Witness Who is experiencing it all.
When you start listening to the voice in your head
that is so self-cherishing,
detach from the commentary.
Come back to the lavender clouds in the powder blue sky,
the breeze that is caressing your face,
and the scent of fragrance adorning the air.
Gratefully present here.
Wake up to now.
