Blackbirds announcing their flight overhead
Chimes gracefully singing
Tea light swaying
All are part of the rhythm of the morning.
I open my arms to make space for the strawberry blonde cat
who wants to climb onto my lap,
and he settles in.
This one gesture of open receptivity reminds me that
hospitality is all that is ever needed.
