Divine Destiny

an advent reflection on Matthew 22:37-39

Love, may we be bearers of your kindness and grace!

Dear One,

I am writing to remind you of things you already know. The only thing that matters in this life is Love given and received. Beliefs and opinion about right and wrong and acquisition of material possessions and status do not heal a broken heart or free anyone from the bonds of oppression.

Your grand destiny is not to become this or that, to earn this or that degree, or to work in this or that job. No, your destiny is much greater. It is the homely, everyday practice of being fully present to each person you encounter every day, seeing them through the eyes of Love, communicating in word and deed that they are valuable and loved, and allowing yourself to receive this same Love from others. There is no greater destiny and no more radiant glory than to love unconditionally. Celebrating the birth of Jesus is the honoring of Unconditional Love.

Remember, this moment is an opportunity to connect to Love, and therefore, to live into the fullness of who you are.

As always, do what best awakens you to love,

Your Inner Wisdom
